Our Youth in Philanthropy (YiP) program inspires young students in Melbourne to learn about community philanthropy while also providing them with opportunities to create a positive impact on current social issues.
This year students from 14 schools across Greater Melbourne gathered at the State Library to participate in the opening YiP24 Forum event. Guest speakers included Aishah Brockhoff, a YiP19 Alumni and YiP Ambassador, Hannah Lewis from Justice Connect Homeless Law and Jaison Hoernel from Good Cycles.
There are 24 grant partners involved in the program application for grants up to $10,000. Students are currently working with their grant partners and staff from the Foundation to learn about the grantmaking process and fundraising.
