Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation congratulates its President, Lord Mayor Robert Doyle on his Queen’s Birthday honour, appointed as Companion in the Order of Australia.

As City of Melbourne’s longest-serving mayor, Robert Doyle has been recognised for his service to the Melbourne community through roles in local government and the Parliament of Victoria, as well as a supporter of youth, social welfare and medical research foundations.
 
Since his election in 2008, the Lord Mayor has been a most committed supporter through his role as President of the Foundation, which was established in 1923 by the Lord Mayor of the day, Sir John Swanson.
 
As President, Lord Mayor Robert Doyle has not only been active in the Youth in Philanthropy program, Inspiring Philanthropy events and Swanson Society bequestors’ circle, but also an inspirational advisor to the CEO and Foundation Board.
