Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation has launched GIVE Melbourne, a month-long digital fundraising campaign, to raise funds for critical community needs whilst also celebrating the power of community giving.

We’re inviting all Melburnians to get involved. GIVE Melbourne is aiming to inspire at least 200 Melburnians to donate from now until 28 June.

The Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer Peter Walton said, “Melbourne is often ranked highly as one of the most liveable cities in the world, however, that is not the experience or reality for many people in our community.

“The current cost of living crisis, increasing rates of unemployment for young people and lack of affordable housing has exacerbated existing community challenges.

“We’re working towards Greater Melbourne being a liveable and inclusive city for all people.”

For over 100 years, generations of caring Melburnians, have been the catalyst for positive social change through their support of Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation.

Give Melbourne will support important projects by the Foundation as well as three important social enterprises – Good Cycles, Ask Izzy and Sweltering Cities - to find long-term solutions for current and future issues our community faces.

Donations of all sizes will help support communities to cope with the increasing effects of climate change, reduce homelessness and create inclusive employment opportunities for young people across Greater Melbourne.

Give now to play a part in shaping a better, brighter Melbourne for generations to come.

GIVE Melbourne will support Ask Izzy by Infoxchange, Good Cycles, Lord Mayor’s Charitable and Sweltering Cities.

  • Ask Izzy - connecting people in need with housing, a meal, money help, family violence support and counselling.
  • Good Cycles - a social enterprise helping more young people be job ready and into work.
  • Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation – finding long-term solutions for the current and future issues our community faces such as homelessness, unemployment and climate change.
  • Sweltering Cities - empowering communities to lessen the impact of climate change and to ensure greater Melbourne is prepared for heatwaves and other disasters.
