The Next Economy Jobs Challenge is an Initiative of Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation that will support eligible charities and their partners to test and develop new models, enterprises and programs that encourage next economy job creation for individuals and communities experiencing socio-economic disadvantage.
Greater Melbourne is facing complex interconnected challenges such as the COVID-19 Pandemic, the climate crisis and growing economic inequality. Opportunities for innovation are emerging and new economic business models, sectors and ways of working are offering solutions.
With a focus on disadvantage, the Next Economy Jobs Challenge seeks to catalyse these solutions by encouraging the development of sustainable, inclusive, quality employment pathways.
