Lord Mayor's Charitable Fund answers the call from Children First Foundation

The Lord Mayor's Charitable Fund has announced today that it will assist the Children First Foundation to raise the required $150,000 for conjoined twins Krishna and Trishna.

Children First Foundation needs $150,000 to aid in the twins' post-operative care and recovery from their life-saving surgery.

The Fund's CEO Mr Andrew Chappell said the Lord Mayor's Charitable Fund would donate $57,000 required to reach the target of $150,000.

"We applaud the work of Children First Foundation and Royal Children's Hospital, and are delighted to be able to contribute to the ongoing care of Krishna and Trishna by making this donation?

"This donation is made on behalf of all Melburnians and we would like to thank the people of Melbourne for their kind and generous support. Every donation, no matter how small, can make a difference and this is just such an example?

Further donations can be made to Children First Foundation online at www.childrenfirstfoundation.com or mailed to 66 Chapman Street, North Melbourne 3051.
