Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation launches
Winter Days of Giving

Today the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation in partnership with 3AW’s Neil Mitchell launched the annual Winter Days of Giving community grants program.

People listening to 3AW have been invited by Neil Mitchell to nominate their favourite charity to receive one of 22 $5000 grants from the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation.

The Foundation’s CEO Andrew Chappell said, “We are delighted once again to launch our third annual Winter Days of Giving with 3AW.

“Engaging the wider community in our grants process benefits not only the charity recipients of the $5000 grants but also the people who have nominated them, as they feel they have contributed in some way of supporting their favourite charity.

“Each year we have found very deserving charities who were unaware they could apply for funding from the Foundation and we contribute the success of the Winter Days of Giving to Neil Mitchell and his team at 3AW.”

Neil Mitchell will announce one charity recipient daily on his show for 22 days throughout July, and as a special bonus Neil will choose one charity each week to also receive a Daikin split system heating/cooling unit valued at $2400.00 and sponsored by Camberwell Electrics.

“We are delighted to announce Camberwell Electrics as our first sponsor to the Winter Days of Giving program. Camberwell Electrics are supplying four Daikin split system heating/cooling units as part of our gift to these hard working charities.

“Thank you to Hans Vanderstadt and his team at Camberwell Electrics for their support of Melbourne charities.”

Nominations are open. To nominate your favourite charity to receive a $5000 grant, and to read all terms and conditions, download the nomination form, or phone 96330000.
