Youth in Philanthropy

A representative from the LMCF is allocated to each school as a mentor as part of the program.

Each school forms a committee of six students and is allocated $20,000 in funds from the grants budget to distribute to community health and welfare programs.

Each committee is provided with three applications for funding from charitable organisations.

The challenge for the student committees is to decide how to allocate their budget of $20,000 and distribute it to the three charities.  Guidance is provided by the group’s mentor.

At the end of the process each committee participates in a group presentation to the Foundation and the other participating schools.
