Local Government Charitable Fund Account
In 2006 we introduced our Local Government Charitable Fund Account Scheme, offering local governments the opportunity to establish a charitable fund account to benefit people living in their municipalities.
To encourage Victorian metropolitan councils to streamline their giving, we offer a ‘matching’ initiative matching – dollar for dollar – the contributions made by each municipality, to a maximum of $100,000.
Eight councils and one Community Foundation have participated in this initiative by establishing community charitable fund accounts, these being Hume, Manningham, Kingston, Banyule, Mornington Peninsula, Frankston, Brimbank, Wyndham and Cardinia.
