Establish a Charitable Fund Account

 

Leave your mark on the present and provide for the future by establishing a charitable fund account with the Lord Mayor's Charitable Foundation.  Our simple and cost-effective charitable fund accounts will continue to support your community, in your name, forever.
  • All contributions to your charitable fund account are fully tax deductible
  • No establishment fees
  • You choose the name of the charitable fund account
  • Established from as little as $2000
  • You may indicate your preferred charities or allow us to distribute the charitable fund accounts income on your behalf
  • Management fee of just one per cent per annum
  • Complete transparency: annual statement shows charitable fund account development, all contributions, income generated by funds, charity disbursements and account balances.
Charitable fund accounts can be established within 24 hours.  Simply email your details to sandie.baskin@lmcf.org.au and include:
1.    Name(s) and address (for the fund deed)
2.    Name selected for charitable fund (or you can choose to remain anonymous)
3.    Preferred charities or causes you wish to support (if any)
We will then draw up a charitable fund deed for your signature at no cost.

Bequests
The Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation is also able to accept a bequest directly to the Foundation or to your chosen charitable fund account.  
Suggested wording is:
 
“I give [specific percentage of my estate] or [specific assets] or [the residue and/or balance of my estate] or [the sum of $      (as indexed for CPI)] to the Board Management of The Lord Mayor’s Charitable Fund of Level 5, 140 Queen St, Melbourne VIC 3000 to be applied for its general charitable purposes. I declare that the receipt of the secretary, treasurer or proper officer will be a sufficient discharge to my Trustees.”
It is important that independent legal advice is sought as to the implications of the proposed bequest.
