The Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation provides financial assistance to charities, public hospitals and other not-for-profit organisations through its Grants Program.

Major Grants Expression of Interest

Major Grants are each valued at up to $150,000 over one year or up to $300,000 over two years.

Expressions of Interest are invited by Friday 29th January 2010 from eligible organisations that will meet new or emerging needs in the following fields:

Family

  • Young people at risk of or experiencing disengagement
  • Refugee & asylum Seekers
  • Families with complex needs

Health

  • Inequalities in access to primary health care
  • Chronic disease management
  • Implementing a public health approach to promoting strategies or initiatives to prevent problems or reduce harm resulting from addictive behaviours within the community

(favourable consideration will be given to innovative projects that address one or the target areas and include one or more preventative components)

Life Care

  • Support services to alleviate the impact of natural disasters upon Victorian communities
  • Provision of employment and social engagement opportunities for people with mental and/or physical disabilities
  • Development and implementation of projects designed to address and alleviate domestic crises
  • Opportunities for collaborative partnerships between agencies seeking to support individuals and families experiencing economic difficulty

NOTE: Projects that address one or more of the priority areas of homelessness, youth and ageing will be favourable considered.
